Funding
Medicare Rebates:
If your child has a health condition that is managed by your GP and requires input from two or more other health professionals (such as a physiotherapist), they may be eligible for the “Chronic Disease Management Plan”. This provides five subsidised visits over twelve months.
National Disability Insurance Scheme:
The NDIS provides funding for young children with developmental delay and for children/adults who have a disability. This funding can be used to access physiotherapy services, provided that this works towards the child’s/family’s goals. Click here for more information on how the NDIS works:
For children 0-7 years of age:

For children older than 7:

Little Engines Physiotherapy is not registered as an NDIS provider. If you are self-managing your child’s plan, or if a third party is supporting you to manage your child’s plan, you will still be able to use your child’s NDIS funding for physiotherapy services with us. If your child’s plan is managed by the NDIA then you will not be able to use your funding for physiotherapy services with us.
Private Health Insurance:
You may be able to use your private health insurance to claim part of the cost of your child’s physiotherapy appointment. Please speak with your insurance company to check your cover. As Little Engines Physiotherapy is a mobile service, we do not have access to HICAPS. An invoice/receipt will be provided to you so that you can claim directly with your health fund.
